These are the features we’re working on next and approximately when we hope to release them.

This information is just a guide. It’s not everything we’re doing, and things may move.

We’ll update everyone with an account when we release new features.

What we’re working on now

Over the next 3 months we’ll be prioritising:

  • Allowing people to save their progress and return to a form later using One Login
  • Improvements to our new multiple routing feature, so you can add routes to questions that have more than 10 options
  • Delivering submissions via a webhook so it’s easier to integrate with other systems, for example customer management systems
  • Opening early access for local authorities to use GOV.UK Forms – contact us if you are interested, as places are limited

What we’re planning next

  • Custom validation to limit number of characters, dates and improve how to find addresses
  • Allowing you to customise the branding on your forms, rather than having to request it
  • Opening up use of GOV⁠.⁠UK Forms to local government and non-crown central government
  • Allowing people to answer a group of questions multiple times
  • Exploring integration with GOV⁠.⁠UK App and Agentic AI

Further in the future

  • Improve how to add users to groups
  • More detailed metrics about a form’s performance and an integrated way to get feedback from people who fill in a form
  • Being able to preview what each question will look like, as you’re adding them to your form
  • Storing previous versions of a form, and being able to revert back to them
  • Opening up use of GOV⁠.⁠UK Forms to the wider public sector
  • Taking payments via API - so you can collect payments part way through the journey through a form
  • Allowing people to fill in forms using information they’ve already provided to government

What’s new

  • You can add routes to direct people through your form based on their answers, so they only need to answer the questions that are relevant to them
  • We released a private beta version of customisable branding on forms, contact us if you want to use it
